Spuk im Hochhaus - Intro Song (Cover)

Thomas Natschinski's intro is one of the most iconic television melodies of the GDR. With its mixture of catchy rhythm and mysterious, playful tone, it immediately conveyed the special atmosphere of the series: a story full of ghosts, humor, and everyday life. My cover preserves this spirit, but at the same time adds a more modern sound aesthetic that makes it accessible again today. Precisely because the series had cult status in the 1980s, the song is linked to childhood memories for many East Germans. My contribution is less a mere re-recording than a tribute that honors cultural heritage. In this way, I create a bridge between then and now—between Natschinski's original music and a generation that can now experience this melody in a new guise.
